How to make Corn on the Cob 3 ways 

  1. Add milk, water and salt into a ceramic non-stick sauteuse. Let it come to a boil and add 3 corn cobs into it. Let them boil for 15 minutes, covered.  
  2. Once boiled, heat a cast iron grill pan and add butter into it. Grill the corn cobs onto the pan until they are nicely charred and have grill marks. 
  3. For the classic Indian masala, mix all the dry spice powders and sprinkle it on the top of the grilled corn. Squeeze a lemon generously on top of the corn and serve it hot.
  4. For the chilli herb butter, add the coriander leaves, basil, green chillies and black salt into a master chopper, with some butter and grind it till finely chopped. Apply it generously on a grilled corn and let it spread as the butter melts. 
  5. For the chilli garlic one, add softened butter, chilli flakes, chopped garlic and salt. Mix it to a soft paste and apply it on a grilled corn using a pastry brush. Squeeze a lemon over for more taste and serve it hot.

Expert Tips

  1. Make sure the corn is completely boiled because raw corn can be harmful for the stomach.
  2. The chilli herb butter needs to be made with softened butter as melted butter won't let the herbs mix properly.
