Triphala Guggulu - Health Benefits, Uses and Important Facts

Triphala Guggulu is an Ayurvedic medicine that uses the effects of both Triphala and Guggulu together. Triphala can help cleanse the body and help you get rid of constipation, and Guggul can reduce inflammation. When these ingredients work together, they help relieve piles (haemorrhoids), anal fistula (fistula-in-ano), and constipation.

Ayurveda says that the laxative effect of Triphala Guggulu, called Rechana, is a good way to treat constipation. It works by getting the digestive fire going, which makes the bowels move again. This helps stop piles from happening and eases the pain, swelling, and other problems that come with them. It also makes the symptoms of anal fistula less severe (fistula-in-ano). Triphala Guggulu can also help you lose weight because it makes you go to the bathroom. It makes Agni (the digestive fire) stronger, which helps keep the metabolism healthy and gets rid of Kapha that has built up in the body. When taken in the right amount, Triphala Guggulu is thought to be safe.

What is Triphala Guggulu?

Triphala Guggul is a wonderful Ayurvedic Rasayana that works wonderfully to balance all three doshas in the body and is very helpful in getting rid of harmful toxins or AMA from the body. This part of the formula helps keep cholesterol levels in a healthy range, controls weight, and improves digestion and food absorption.

Also, the Guggul in this multi herbal pill makes you burn fat by speeding up your metabolism and helping your body digest fat. So, it helps a lot with both fat loss and inch loss, especially when it comes to getting rid of belly fat (abdominal obesity). Also, pippali good qualities help the bowels move better by making the stool looser and softer. This makes the area around the anus less stressed and keeps piles or haemorrhoids from happening. It also helps break up kidney stones and stop infections in the urinary tract.

Importance of Triphala Guggulu:

Triphala: is a mixture of three powerful myrobalans (amalaki, haritaki, and bibhitaki) in equal amounts of powder. When added to any recipe, the powders are a strong treatment for a wide range of diseases, such as indigestion, gas, constipation, obesity, jaundice, anaemia, asthma, throat infections, hair problems, and pyorrhea.

Pippali: It is also known as Indian long pepper, is often used to treat and manage indigestion, heartburn, diarrhoea, cholera, asthma, and other conditions. It also makes digestion better and improves the health of the skin.

Guggulu: This oleo-gum resin is made from the bark of the mukul tree. It is very important for treating heart problems, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, arthritis, and being overweight.

Health benefits of Triphala Guggulu:

Helps you lose weight:

Most people gain weight because they eat unhealthy foods and don't move around enough. This makes the digestive fire in the stomach, or Agni, go down, which causes fat deposits, or Meda Dhatu, to build up in the body. This herbal gum resin has a lot of alkaloids and flavonoids, which stop people from wanting unhealthy food at odd times. It also helps the body lose weight faster by speeding up the metabolic process and stopping fat from building up. Because it has the ability to get rid of AMA doshas from the body, it gets rid of unwanted toxins and boosts Agni in the stomach. Also, it reduces the amount of LDL cholesterol (also called "bad cholesterol") that builds up in the body, which makes it easier to lose more weight.

Treats Anal fistula (Fistula-in-ano):

An anal fistula, also called a fistula-in-ano, is a small tunnel-like structure that connects an infected gland inside the anus to an opening on the skin around the anus. Symptoms like pain and swelling in and around the anus are often signs of it. In Ayurveda, Abal fistula is called Bhagandara, where 'Bhaga' means the area between the anus and genitals (i.e., the perineum) and 'Darana' means to tear apart or destroy. So, Bhagandara means a cut or tear in the perianal or perineal area around the anus. This is usually caused by long-term constipation.

Triphala Guggulu has a property called Rechana, which is a laxative. This helps keep constipation under control and reduces the symptoms of anal fistula.

Relieves Haemorrhoids

Ayurveda calls piles or haemorrhoids "Arsha," which is a condition in which the blood vessels inside or around the anus (the opening of your bottom) get bigger. This causes symptoms like a lump or growth in the anus, pain and swelling around the anus, bloody stools, an itchy anus, etc. Most of the time, it's caused by eating poorly and not moving around much, which makes all three doshas, especially vata, in the body weak. This irritated Vata causes a low digestive fire, or Mandagni, in the stomach. This causes constipation and swelling in the veins around the rectum. Triphala Guggulu helps treat and prevent piles by boosting the digestive fire and getting rid of constipation. It also helps keep Vata in balance.

Gets rid of gouty arthritis

Gouty arthritis is a type of inflammatory arthritis that is most often caused by uric acid crystals that build up in the joints. Most of the time, it causes severe pain, swelling, redness, discomfort, and sensitivity in one or more joints. Gout is called Vatarakta in Ayurveda. Most of the time, it is caused by an imbalance of the Vata Doshas, and its effect (prabhab) is on the Rakta Dhatu (blood tissue). Strong Lekhaniya and Mutual qualities in this formulation help to remove uric acid crystals from the joints, which can help relieve gouty arthritis.
