What is Dal Chawal Arancini?

Arancini is an Italian appetiser ; they are deep fried rice balls that are generally stuffed and coated with bread crumbs. They are made in many variations with a meaty version in a ragu sauce or stuffed with mozzarella and parmesan risotto. The variations are endless, therefore, we have created our own version with the twist of classic Indian flavours of dal and chawal, mixed with some Italian herbs to bring together a fusion that everyone would love.

    Expert Tips

    1. Do not skip the cornstarch as it is integral for binding without which the dish wont work.
    2. Freezing is a necessary step otherwise the balls would fall apart in the oil.
    3. Drain the Arancini on a paper towel once they are fried to remove the excess oil.
