What are Cinnamon Rolls?

Cinnamon rolls are made of an enriched dough, flattened with a rolling pin with a cinnamon butter filling spread over it. This sheet of dough is then rolled and sliced into separate buns and then baked in the oven. It's a yeast bread dough so it turns out light and fluffy. The Americans started the tradition of topping cinnamon rolls with a frosting, which could be icing sugar based or a cream cheese frosting. They are a dessert item for few, while some enjoy it as their morning breakfast with some coffee.
